Arsenal want to sign Nico Paz from Como, but Manchester City are also interested, according to Caught Offside.
Since Mikel Arteta became manager in 2019, Arsenal have come close to winning the Premier League twice but lost to Manchester City both times. This season, Arteta hoped to finally win the title, but Liverpool are leading, and Arsenal are 13 points behind.
Injuries have been a big problem for Arsenal. Key players like Martin Ødegaard, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, and Ben White have all missed games. Recently, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have also been injured, while Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are out for the rest of the season.

Arsenal are now looking for an attacking midfielder to help Ødegaard, as they don’t have a proper backup. They have been watching Paz closely, especially in his games against Fiorentina and Napoli, where he scored and assisted.
Manchester City are also following Paz, but Real Madrid have the advantage since they have a buyback option and a 50% sell-on clause. The 20-year-old Argentine moved to Como from Madrid last summer.
Paz, worth about £17 million, has a contract until 2028. He is a left-footed attacking midfielder but can also play a deeper role. This season, he has 10 goal contributions in 21 Serie A starts. He is a skillful player, and signing him could be a good move for Arsenal.
